Charlotte Taverner
Deceased
Group: Company
of the Black Boar
Race: Human
Barony of residence: Norhault
(in the County of Lincoln and the Duchy
of York)
Charlotte Emily Taverner, daughter of Robert Taverner, a retired member of the Company of the Black Boar. Robert, who served under Henry Audeley, retired from service when his wife, Anne, passed away. Her death left him alone to care for his three children, his daughter Charlotte Emily, and his two sons Christopher and Jonathan. He returned to his family's tavern in Norhault, "The Archer's Quiver", where he settled down with them.
Robert passed away six months ago, in November 1102, leaving Charlotte in charge of the tavern. Before his death though we was pleased to find that the Company had been assigned to Norhault, and often frequented his tavern, allowing him to relive a lot of memories. Charlotte, who although enjoyed working in the tavern, often wished that she could spend time following the Company around, getting a bit more life experience. Now that she is the owner of the Archer's Quiver she is able to do so, especially now that she feels her two brothers are of a more responsible age.

Once upon a time there was a girl, who loved a man who saw her as a sister. Being but a peasant girl, and without a mother, she could not see what to do about this, and so for years did not tell him of her feelings.
The two were part of a brave band of heroes, and so she saw him in many fights and followed him into much danger. Even when his dagger was stolen and used as a channel for sorcery, when the strangest of magics twisted and deformed him, still she loved him, swearing vengeance against the evil woman who had done this to her beloved. But still, she never told him of her love.
And then one day it was too late, and the man was killed in battle.
Heartbroken, the girl collapsed, sobbed her heart into the ground and though months passed by, she kept crying. For her story was bound to his, and without him she could not see a way to continue living.
So she decided to end her tale in the best way she could. She would seek out the woman who had deformed her beloved, and she would kill her. Even if it took her own death, she would take vengeance for him.
She spoke to those who could help her in this plan, and a ritual was performed. The ritual called upon the link between she who was evil and she who was good and yet bereft, and strengthened it. The girl would have to seek out the evil one, and regain her beloved's dagger. Once the dagger was in the girl's grasp, she would plunge it within herself, and through the link so would the evil one die. Not only would the girl gain the vengeance for which she longed, but she would rid the world of a great and powerful force for harm.
The day of the battle came, and the girl and her allies sought those who would take the battlefield with them. The evil one had gained many enemies over the years, and so there were plenty to volunteer to help in her death. As the lines formed and began to march forward, into battle, the girl turned to watch. She saw the endless streams of people who were there to aid the cause, and wonder filled her. It would be one of the last sights she saw, and one of the most glorious sights she had ever seen.
Then it was too late and battle was joined. Warriors advanced across the field, only to be sent screaming in fear from the things they found. Magic carved great wounds into them, and faces began to dissolve as vile diseases spread across the field. Yet still they fought, chasing their foe, she who was evil across the ruins of the city in which the battle raged.
And eventually the girl caught she who was evil, she who had mutilated the girl's beloved. Grabbing the dagger, she hesitated not even a second, and thrust it directly into her heart, screaming out all her sorrow as she died.
And that is how her allies found her, collapsed next to the body of the evil one she had hated so bitterly. The evil woman, who had blighted so many lives, had been forced to her end, her spirit to stay in eternal torment. The girl ... her story had ended as well as it ever could have, and she had attained her wish - to be sent to join her beloved until the end of time.
