Artemis Nightkin does not divulge much about her past before the Crows. She shares little aside from the fact that she is Teutonian born and left her country a long time ago due to unpleasant incidents which she cares not mention.
She took up traveling for a few years before running into a fae while traveling through the Harts lands. Annoyed as she was by him, she let herself be persuaded that fate must have brought them together due to their complementary surnames, the fae being named Elusive Daykin. So it was that she found herself traveling with him to join his relatives aboard a ship named the Ars Moriandi, which was the home of the Crows of Albion where she found employment as a ritualist. This was in the Fall of 1111 and she continues to work there to this day.
